Intruder Alarm Systems
Once you have decided that you need an intruder alarm, CCTV, access control or fire alarm system please contact us to arrange for a fully qualified surveyor to attend your property and consult with you in order to establish exactly what type of system you require and design a system that is specific to your needs.
Once the system has been designed CIA will provide you with a free quotation that is based on installation to the new European Standard EN50103 under the British scheme document PD6662 in force at the date of installation and to NSI/NACOSS requirements. Our terms and conditions are included within each quotation.
Types of Alarm Systems
There are 2 main types of intruder alarms:

Bells Only
An intruder alarm system capable of activating internal and external sounders in attempt to draw attention from a neighbour or passer by and thus deterring the thief. -
Monitored
An intruder alarm system connected to our Alarm Receiving Centre - Custodian at Nottingham / Southern Monitoring at Waterlooville, Hampshire - both by telephone or radio link. Once an intrusion has been detected through an alarm activation the ARC will determine the type of signals and action these accordingly i.e. alerting the keyholders or police. There are 4 main types of communication - Digital, Redcare, Redcare GSM and Dualcom. Please see the below details and links to find out more on communication options
Digital Communication
Digital communication is installed within the control panel. This equipment can communicate up to four signals to the central station. The drawback with a digital communicator is that if the BT line is lost there is no way for the monitoring station to receive signals from the alarm system, therefore the alarm system reverts back to an audible only system.
