Keyholding & Alarm Response
CIA's keyholding, and alarm response service is available to your premises 24 hours a day 365 days a year and offers a professional service that can:
- Take the place of the required 2 Keyholders (as once CIA are keyholders no others are needed)
- Assist a Keyholder on site
- Attend activations in the CIA Alarm Response Vehicle
- Carry out an external inspection of the property
- Access the premises
- Identify the cause of the activation
- Wherever possible rectify the problem (if the system is inactive and the cause uncertain an on call technical alarm engineer will be contacted who will attend the site to ensure the system is fully functional and set)
- Where necessary liaise with the police, fire brigade and the alarm engineers allowing access to authorised personnel
If on attending site our Alarm Response Officer discovers signs of a break in he will immediately contact the police and wait for their arrival as well as arrange for any necessary repairs to be carried out always remaining at the property until it is secure and the alarm is set.
CIA's keyholding and alarm response service enables the customer to adhere to the Association of Chief Police Officers Policy requirements and insurance company guidelines without unnecessarily inconveniencing staff or friends.
Once you have decided to have CIA as your keyholders we will:
- Need a copy of any keys needed to gain access to your property (customer to supply)
- Make a site visit to discuss and special requirements you may have, carry out a risk assessment of your property and formulate a set of site specific instructions
- Inform your monitoring station that CIA are number 1 keyholders and ensure they have the relevant contact details in case of an activation
- Attend any future activations removing the need to have a family member, friend or employee as a keyholder
Response Vehicle
We have 2 professionally modified high profile alarm response and patrol vehicles.
Personnel
Our response and patrol officers undergo full vetting to BS 5878, detailed training, specific assignment instructions and are fully supervised to ensure competence and quality of service.
In addition all CIA officers undergo training to obtain the Security Industry Authority (SIA) licences and qualifications for Security Guards - the current security industry requirement for all personnel involved with the work of security guarding. All CIA officers are clearly identifiable by uniform that carries our company logo, high visibility clothing, and an identification card that is carried with them and is available for inspection at all times.
Control centre
Custodian Monitoring services / Southern Monitoring Services are the link between the response vehicle, the alarm that has activated, and the emergency services. Both monitoring operatives are trained to assist the response unit in dealing with any situation that may arise.
